Who is Pauline Teo

Hi there!

I’m Pauline Teo.

You can call me Pauline. It's very nice to meet you.

You’re here because you probably heard my name in an investment article somewhere. Although we might not know each other personally, I’m truly happy you’re here. I’m excited about things we can uncover together.

But first, let me tell you who I am and what I do.

I am a woman investor. I know it sounds intimidating for some of you as the popular opinion is still “investing is for men.” Yes, I’m proud of my investments. But it’s not the only thing that I am.

Pauline Teo is also a parent like you. I am raising two kids, Phoebe and Kynan, who are now 21 and 18, respectively, and are starting to invest as well. Like most of you, I take pride in my children. I want to see them succeed in their chosen career paths. More importantly, I want them to be proud to have me as their mum.

As a dog momma to an adorable husky named Princess, you’ll typically find me at home spending time with my children and my dog if I don’t have work or other commitments.

I am physically active. As I was not born fit, I motivated myself to get moving daily, even before the pandemic struck. To me, exercising not only reduces stress, but it also makes me feel good about myself. So whether it’s a 10-kilometre run, strength training, aerial yoga, or trampoline jump, make sure you count me in.

I also force myself to eat healthier. I recently attended a nutrition course from my SkillsFuture credit (Singapore’s programme to encourage its citizens to learn new skills and support their career development or transition). And although I still have a lot to learn about nutrition, it inspired me to customise and stick to a well-balanced meal plan.

I’m already in my early 40s. We know that we’ll age sooner than later, but instead of being discouraged and stopping to work on myself, I am even motivated to pursue learning and self-development. Every year, I allocate around S$5,000 for enrolling in courses that will help me become better holistically.

I am a staunch believer that learning is a lifelong journey. And we can only get better over time because I realised "we are our best asset." Hence, I invest in myself as much as I invest in stocks. For me, compounding knowledge always comes first before compounding wealth.

This is also the reason why I remain committed to VI’s mission of “empowering people towards creating sustainable wealth.” We do this through education. We just don’t give people the right stocks, but we teach them how to find the right ones because we believe everyone can be a successful investor provided they are given the right knowledge, the right tools, and the right support.

I am confident to tell you all these because I saw them work for myself. I suffered a financial loss more than a decade ago. I lost 40% of my unit trust per my financial advisor’s advice. It was a traumatic experience for me as I was saving that money for my children’s education.

So I started looking for ways to start over. It was then that I chanced upon VI College. To cut the story short, VI College supported me in my journey and now I reap abundant rewards with my present 7-digit portfolio.

Seeing the possibility of it first-hand, I decided to let more people, especially parents and women like me, know about investing and how it can help us achieve financial freedom.

This is why I continue to teach willing investors. This is why I stay with VI.

And I’m thrilled to be able to share my knowledge with all of you. Remember, we’re in this together!

As a gift for taking time to know me a little better, here's a link to join our free masterclass where I share a proven method to create consistent passive income from stock investing.
